Entries are sought in the following divisions:

SA YEARS 10, 11, 12 - 2500 WORDS MAXIMUM or less: Prize $150.00

SB YEARS 7, 8, 9 - 2000 WORDS MAXIMUM or less: Prize $100.00

SC YEARS 5 and 6 - 1500 WORDS MAXIMUM or less: Prize $75.00

SD YEARS 4 & UNDER - 1000 WORDS MAXIMUM or less: Prize $50.00

FAW BLACKTOWN REGIONAL NORMAL COMPETITION CONDITIONS

Unless stated otherwise, these conditions apply to all our Student Writing Competitions:

NO ENTRY FEE: Multiple entries accepted. Entries should be submitted with entry form/s and submission sheet/s in English, using one side of A4 paper, typed double line spaced {except poetry} in a standard typeface {12 point minimum}, using generous margins. NO fancy fonts, clip art or decorations of any kind. Students work may be hand written, but must be legible. The maximum number of words for short stories is strictly adhered to, shorter work accepted.

NO NAMES OR ADDRESSES to appear on the manuscript/s. A SEPARATE COVER SHEET must be included with manuscript/s and entry form/s, showing the title of the entry, competition name, section, category or division where applicable. Word count for short story, author's name, address, telephone number and email {if available}. THE TITLE AND PAGE NUMBER ONLY TO APPEAR ON EACH PAGE OF THE MANUSCRIPT/S. Entries must be original work and not have won a cash prize in any other competition or been published in any form, as at the closing date of this competition.

Entries must not be entered in any other competition at time of entry.

Copyright remains the property of the author. Entries will not be returned {keep a copy} and will be shredded after the announcement of results to be published in the FAW MAGAZINE WRITERS VOICE & THE BLACKTOWN CITY LIBRARIES webpage http:www.libraries.blacktown.nsw.gov.au/

THE JUDGES DECISION WILL BE FINAL AND NO CORRESPONDENCE WILL BE ENTERED INTO.
