About eBooks
eBooks or Electronic Books come in a variety of different formats and can be used on a range of devices including PCs, smartphones, tablet computers and eReaders. The Blacktown City Libraries eBook collection consists of a growing number of titles available in ePub and PDF formats.

Over 2,500 eBooks from Australian publishers are available through the State Library's catalogue. Access is open to all residents of NSW. Register for State Library membership online.
Trove
Trove provides a single point of access to material held in Australian and international collections. Use the search function to find freely available, public domain works in a range of languages and formats.
Internet Archive
The Internet Archive provides a free online eBook and Text Archive consisting of over 2 million items.
Many of the eBooks made available through the Internet Archive are free of copyright within Australia and may be downloaded in a range of formats, including ePub, Kindle, HTML and simple text.
International Children's Digital Library
The International Children's Digital Library provides free access to children's literature from around the world. Digital books are available in numerous languages for children of all ages.
