The Dennis Johnson Branch Library, the newest branch of Blacktown City Libraries, was officially opened on Friday 7 August 2009. The branch library holds more than 30,000 books, DVDs, magazines, picture books, graphic novels and more.

The Library includes study space and meeting rooms, allowing the library to deliver a program of lectures, seminars and social/cultural events. Meeting rooms are available for hire.

The Library offers regular Baby Rhyme Time and Story Time sessions during term time.

New technology has been used extensively throughout the Library for customer convenience. This includes Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) self-issues and a drive-through drop off returns chute, to enable customers to return items from the comfort and convenience of their cars.

The Technology Room provides library patrons with access to internet facilities, word processing and other educational software packages. Computers can be booked online from the Library's online catalogue. The Library provides basic internet training and email training to library patrons.

The Library is integrated with the Blacktown City Leisure Centre Stanhope, and forms part of the total leisure experience for customers.
